NOMON, a percussion duo consisting of sisters Shayna and Nava Dunkelman, perform as part of a double bill with Maria Takeuchi, aka ÉMU.

NOMON’s performance coincides with the release of their new EP "Card II" with live visual by Maria Takeuchi using some footage from their recent residency at Governors Island supported by JACK.
Maria Takeuchi, aka ÉMU will also share a set of creating sonic and visual poems, merging organismic soundscapes with generative art and illuminating objects inspired by nature.
NOMON is one of 500 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 (for this free concert) through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.
