The Record
The Record is an interactive musical ghost story about addiction, partnership, music-making, children, information, time, and the patterns that try to live through us. This is a workshop concert of songs, stories, and strange occurrences that may or may not be a part of The Record.

From Freddy:
Thank you for being part of The Record! Here is some additional information/requests I wanted to share:
BRING THINGS!
All you need to bring to this show is your wonderful self, but if you like, you can also bring:
1.) A blanket / pillow / something comfy to sit on!
2.) Any small, noisy objects you want to use to contribute to the musical landscape of the piece! Please only bring objects that are sturdy, safe to hold, easy to carry, that you don't need to put your mouth on to use, and that you don't mind sharing with fellow audience members. Otherwise, anything goes!
CONTENT WARNINGS
A lot of heavy emotions, history, and personal family baggage/trauma are going into this show! Here's some stuff that is going to be present in this performance that I think you should know about beforehand: Haunting/ghosts, heartbreak, discussion of alcoholism, depiction of an emotionally abusive family elder, a complex relationship with a parent, specifically a father, discussion of violent behavior, discussion of class privilege, discussion of mortality, discussion of the foster care system, discussion of neglect and abandonment. There's also going to be a scary moment in the show. A breakdown of when each topic here comes up will be shown towards the beginning of the show. Please take a break and/or leave whenever you want or need to. Thank you for trusting me with your time and presence and for taking care of yourself!
A NOTE ON THE SHOW
This is an interactive performance in which you'll be asked to be an active participant in the creation of the piece. Specifically, the audience will be asked to contribute to the musical landscape of the piece by using their bodies and interacting with specific objects in specific ways. How you participate is up to you, and you don't have to participate at all if you don't want to! But if, as a rule, interactive art doesn't work for or sound fun to you, please don't come to this show.
