Taahira is a Brooklyn native and seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in program management, community development, and grant administration. Taahira's diverse career includes her time at Hunter College, where she advanced student success through academic advising and program management; serving as Director of Budget and Community Engagement for the NYC Council, where she allocated millions annually to community organizations; overseeing global operations for the Soros Arts Fellowship at Open Society Foundations, supporting socially engaged artists worldwide; and work with Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) to expand client relationships, streamline processes, and position companies to secure additional contracts. An avid traveler with a love for exploration and lifelong learning, Taahira brings a unique blend of strategic vision and hands-on experience to any role she holds. Guided by a deep care for humanity, social justice, and equity, she is known for her collaborative approach and is dedicated to fostering the arts and empowering communities through creative and equitable initiatives. She holds an MS in Educational Administration & Policy Studies, a BA in English with secondary studies in Art History and Psychology from the University at Albany, and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications from New York University (NYU).
